As soon as Roger Fry learned to make his own ceramics, he became passionate about producing strikingly simple white and black tableware, such as this coffee-pot. He also made a series of strikingly modern black dishes and bowls, which were sold at the Omega Workshops in Bloomsbury, to a small group of wealthy or artistic clients who appreciated the radical quality of these designs for the home.
