Dr Chloe Nahum

Assistant Curator, Paintings

Chloe Nahum completed an AHRC-funded Collaborative Doctoral Partnership at the University of Oxford with Imperial War Museums in 2023 and an MA in modern British art at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London in 2018. Prior to becoming Assistant Curator, Paintings in 2026, she was the Bridget Riley Art Foundation Curatorial Fellow at the Courtauld Gallery. She has also held curatorial roles at Pallant House Gallery (2019) and Imperial War Museums (2022), where she worked on the Blavatnik Art, Film and Photography Galleries. In 2020 she curated the exhibitionÌýMary Stephenson and Grace Pailthorpe: Fertile SpoonÌýat Bosse & Baum, London. At the Courtauld Gallery she has curatedÌýThe Barber in London: Highlights from a Remarkable CollectionÌý(2025) andÌýPost-War AbstractionÌý(2025). She is currently working onÌýHepworth and Nicholson: The Hampstead Studio PhotographsÌýandÌýWinifred Gill: AÌýBloomsbury Pioneer,Ìýboth 2026.
