My research project is to produce a scholarly catalogue of the approximately three hundred drawings by Flemish artists in the Courtauld collection. This is almost exclusively made up of two collections bequeathed to the Courtauld. Count Seilern鈥檚 bequest (The Princes Gate Collection) is predominantly devoted to Pieter Brueghel Rubens. Sir Robert Witt put together a more diverse but less discriminating group.
