‘Art History: Undisciplined’ will demonstrate the many ways that art history interacts with and informs fields of research, study and activity that lie beyond the conventional boundaries of the subject.
Essentially, this conference aims to challenge commonplace notions about what art history is, and who it is for.
The Courtauld has a longstanding commitment to exploring the frontiers of art history, for example by the Mellon-funded MA programme, which enabled Courtauld academics to collaborate with specialists from other disciplines. More recently, The Courtauld has also achieved this through the aims of our innovative new #OpenCourtauld programming.
